In concert with a local planning committee, a vision for the revitalization of Salisbury Square was prepared. Consensus was subsequently developed around a six point action plan of new zoning, physical improvements, economic investment, traffic and parking, housing, and grant funding.

Larry Koff & Associates, working with the Bluestone Planning Group, has recieved multiple contracts to study land use and design issues in multiple neighorhoods throughout Salisbury. These efforts included preparing revised zoning for the Beach front, the former amusement center located on Salisbury Beach next to the State Reservation, a revised Site Plan by-law and design guidelines, an Inclusionary Housing Bylaw, and an Open Space Cluster Bylaw. These by-laws were prepared and presented to Town Meeting in an intense four month planning process. In a successful effort to build public support, the Beach re-zoning was taken through a more extensive public process with broader participation from the affected residents and property owners. In addition, revised zoning was prepared for the town's only industrial area located on Rabbit Road which runs parallel to I-95/I-495. Meetings were been organized with business and residents in the affected areas. The re-zoning was coordinated with plans to extend a sewer line to the industrial park located within the study area. More recently the team undertook a similar rezoning study for the LaFayette Road area in Salisbury, which will also be affected by a sewer extension. |
