Dan is a recent graduate of the Urban and Environmental Planning program at Tufts University. Mr. Zinder brings project experience in spatial analysis, land use policy, energy efficiency programs, and, integrating spatial technologies into the public planning process. His research interests include land use policy, declining cities, GIS, and sustainability. |

Larry Koff & Associates, Brookline, MA, 2010-present Provides research, analysis, writing, GIS mapping, and report design Somerville Community Corporation, Somerville, MA 2009-2010 Edited community data into comprehensible formats for public presentation, created GIS maps, and collaborated on the online mapping tool "Interactive Somerville" for Community Corridor Planning efforts in Somerville. Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships, Lexington, MA Fall 2010- Feb 2011 Data collection, database design, and project design for online workforce development website of all clean energy training opportunities in Massachusetts. Dr. Justin Hollander, Medford, MA 2008-2011 Provided mapping analysis, methodological design, and contributed to publications for a national study on declining housing occupancy patterns during the Great Recession. On this project Mr. Zinder completed his thesis work and received co-authorship on a Lincoln Land Institute paper analyzing U.S. Postal Service housing occupancy data. Paper received recognition in USA Today; additional publications pending. Speaker at the 2010 Reclaiming Vacant Properties Conference and the 2009 Tufts Graduate Student Conference. Tufts GIS Center, Medford, MA 2009-2011 Data collection, database design, and project design for Bengali Oral History website. NYS Department of Environmental Conservation 2005-2007 Environmental education - staffed and ran programming for the Tivoli Bays Visitor Center and assisted in water quality research.
